heartland

During a 38 hour drive from Austin Texas to Washington DC, the only thing of interest was a small window above the drivers seat, giving a "birds eye" view of the interstate. The resulting images are a documentation of repeating gas stations, diners and garages. One by one they formed a chain of nothingness, pushing the traveller to reach his destination.

darkland

The darkland has a sinister view of the diners, powerlines, crosses and demons that the heartland posesses. The days are gray and desaturated and the only illuminated places at night are petrol stations and seedy bathrooms.

autumn

Like the pebbles on the beach, the children do not seem to mind the cold unlike the photographer who stands there freezing. Desperately trying to manoeuvre his equipment, he turns towards a lonely kite hovering above the washed out sky.

television

In front of the television I started bleeding, from the nose to be exact, I recall it stemming from one of those reality shows frequenting my television set. I shared with the sink.

items

Portraits of people who were asked to pose holding one of their favorite or most needed items.

airport

An "off world" environment that is sometimes populated with silhouettes that communicate via message boards and posters.
